Mark Ronson: 'New Album Is Hip-Hop, Back to Basics' Thursday, Apr 18 2013, 5:29am EDT, by Robert Copsey Mark Ronson has revealed that his new album will be more "hip-hop" than his last. The DJ and producer explained that he wanted to return to the sound of his debut LP Here Comes The Fuzz while he is still young. "I'm focusing on getting my album done," he told Rolling Stone. "It's going to be closer to my first record than any I've made since. At the base, it's more hip-hop - just me in a room making beats on an MPC. "I just really feel a little more like staking an identity again, making clear what I'm about. I'm 37 - I've got eight more years to make angry-youth music, so I just feel like doing that now." Ronson's 2003 album peaked at number 70 on the UK charts and spawned the top 20 single 'Ooh Wee', which features Ghostface Killah, Nate Dogg and Trife & Saigon. The star recently revealed that he is working on Paul McCartney's next project, citing Usher's 'Climax' as a source of inspiration. www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a474196/mark-ronson-new-album-is-hip-hop-back-to-basics.html#ixzz2RFxVgzdV

Like I give a shit about that little twit's solo work. I understand from the DD Facebook page that he'll be working on the next DD album too.
Why can't they just do what they did with Astronaut, make great music without needing some wannabe moron producer all over them?

Because with that dipstick on the last album they were able to pay rent. If there's the slightest hint of hip hop on this album it'll tank faster than the Hindenberg.

You need to post this place on a few DD centered Facebook pages.

I was thinking about it. I'll wait until we get closer to the album's due date, or right before Facebook collapses, whichever comes first. ;D

I don't think Facebook will collapse, unless someone makes a better site with less advertising and less hassles to use.

I notice fewer people are there, those that are don't spend as much time there. It's gone like MySpazz, only instead of every band in the world wanting you to friend them, it's every business wanting you to like them. I have to block messages for a dozen new stupid games every time I'm there. If I ever have time for games, I'll buy games at the computer store. And it kills me to say this, but I can't stand reading the posts from certain of my friends and family. You know the ones I mean, Jesus will come into your heart and save you from politics, poverty, and alien invasions, or the ones warning about the latest construction of FEMA camps ahead of the Civil War that's coming this year when the dollar collapses. A bunch of groups I'm in either deleted themselves or quit posting. Seems that someone's been going through FB horking all manner of copyrighted material and intellectual property and posting on a different website as their own.

I know what you mean, but I haven't found any other websites that I'd rather be on. I don't do a ton of photos to be on a place like Pinterest, or whatever other shit is out there.

I haven't been to MySpazz or Bebo in years. I'm not on any other sites. It gets dumb after awhile, like being on every single Duran Duran site.

True. While we have limited internet, I'm not signing up for any other websites anyway.

Even after you get full internet, it's better to live in the real world. There are a couple boards I'm on, just reading all of the active thread titles can take half an hour. There are some people on those boards, they have to be spending 10 hours per day, every day, there. That's messed up. It's gone long past sharing information for those guys. I wonder if they ever leave their houses, if they have families, if they ever get any housework done.

If I'm not working, I schedule my days giving myself internet time, especially on the days I do laundry. Today is a "clean the whole fucking house because Lord Douchebag is coming tomorrow" day. This means I'll be sorting out laundry before I get started cleaning. I already did most of one bathroom this morning before I took Matthew to school. I got a bagel at Dunkin Donuts this morning on my way home, I had to stop at the bank anyway. We finally have to break down and get our grass cut, and it costs $70 each time. There is where my DD vinyl money went. So, after I'm done on here this morning, I"ll get a load of laundry started, put my in, and get back to cleaning. Every so often I"ll sit back down here, check out the hospital's webpages in case new jobs get added, take a few drinks of cold tea, and get back to work. I should be done by noon and have time to have lunch and relax. Matthew will do his rooms when he gets home from school. Then as long as I clean up the kitchen and do all the dishes tonight, the only thing I'll need to do tomorrow is morning dishes and a quick vacuum/sweep of the floors and make beds. I always spray Febreze about an hour before anyone shows up too.
