I'm allergic to Febreeze. I did some studying, there's an enzyme in there, kinda like formaldehyde, that does it. I get the creeps thinking of buyers roaming through my house, especially if they plan on being my new landlord. You know Lord Douchebag wants you guys to keep renting once he takes over, and he's sizing you up as he gets the grand tour. Eww. Ewwwww.

My house is clean, nothing incriminating or illegal here, so let him look (as long as a realtor is walking around with him). I don't plan on staying here if he buys the place, and I already know he'd raise the rent, what we pay now wouldn't cover the taxes and the mortgage. We don't see the log house until next week, so I"m still looking around for other possibilities.

That's the problem, nothing excellent IS coming up. Most of it is student rentals. Others are small apartments that won't take pets. Very few family rentals.

There's more money to be made from student rentals, like 3-5 times more, so I'm not surprised it's the big trend. The good news is that after a while a bunch of landlords will get tired of the messes left behind and convert a couple blocks of houses into family rentals. It is strange that more family houses aren't coming up, what with summer coming. Maybe once school lets out things will get a boost.
