According to Gather News, he's going to be playing at the Olympics with them: On July 27, the band is set to revive giddy school girl memories when they headline the opening ceremonies. All five original members are participating, even Andy Taylor, who left the band in the mid-80s, and who was the least popular member of the group. entertainment.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981478010

Oops, no the writer corrected herself, whilst the sheep stamped their hooves and bleated for Dom. Honestly, Duran Duran could put a one-armed monkey on guitar and the barnyard would agree that it's the best guitar player ever. Until they fire the monkey of course, then it was a huge mistake letting that thing take the stage.

Yeah, Gema posted about that on Facebook.
Of course you know I went to that site and posted what I thought about Dom.

I like Dom okay, I think he's a really great kid, and a good guitarist, but he doesn't have "the fire within" that Andy has. Andy was the band's energy onstage. When he was there they didn't need David Lynch effects and doll heads.
