I found the band dynamic interesting. Everyone thought there was animosity between him & John. I'm glad we were wrong.

It still doesn't make sense to me as to why Nick wouldn't be on Twitter. He's such a media whore as far as technology goes, or is he afraid he'd say something that would come back to bite him in the ass?

I think you nailed it. That plus I get the feeling that out of all of them, Nick is least able to relate to the working class on a firsthand basis.

Like with Andy, we were talking about food - cake (it looked delicious!) and sandwiches. He detailed farts in degrees of marital stability. He said stuff about his musical idols. He was clear on his political views, although I still think he's the one to set that country to rights.

Nick can't do that. The wine list and alien jokes can only take one so far.

Nick just needs to realize that this isn't the 80's anymore, that pretentious attitude of his has no place in a Duranie world anymore.

Astrology figures heavily into the equation, Gemini's will pretty much stick like glue to the things that were popular when they as individuals were either most popular themselves or having the most fun. It would take something apocalyptic to make him change his ways.

John's not so stuck in the 80s because of the drug thing, I think. I think that era kind of makes him feel bad, so he's not going to live there. He seems to be stuck in the vicinity of Astronaut.

Well actually hon, people DO change, if they want to. I know in the case of Hubby and me, it's true. I'm not the same person I was when I met him, and he made huge changes in his life because I told him the kind of person I wanted to be involved with. I was never really the social type before I met him, I'd never strike up conversations with people or involve myself with people socially. I am more open now, more willing to engage with people I don't know. He's mentioned that more than once to me. I'm not as depressed as I was before I met him either. I was the reason he got away from his bad habits, and we are the reason he cares about his health and takes care of himself. We are good for each other, we are supportive and loving. He texted me yesterday on my way to the job interview, telling me "you'll be great honey, go get em!" How many men would do that?

I know, I'm so lucky to have found him! I know I never would have gotten married if I never met him. He worked hard to gain my trust, I was very blunt and honest from the beginning with him. I figured that if he couldn't handle it, he'd be gone before things went too far.

He still loves me, which amazes me every day.
