The RIAA controls all that shit I think. And it's all about the money. There are lots of small independent labels, but they can't sign the big acts that would make them more powerful in music.

All the big labels were small at one time. I think part of the problem is getting airplay, it's a million times worse than when they had payola and DJs could play what they wanted. The lack of independent record stores makes distribution difficult. But still, I expected something to happen by now.
