It's no more DD than RCM. IT's Warren and Nick (in that order) running unchecked on a side project. It has the potential for some improvement, assuming Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson have some free time, but otherwise it's stuck in a tiny little lame box in the early 90s.
I haven't seen much of anything regarding Ronson with Album 14. I wonder if he crapped out on them.

If you say so.

I do like the fact that the band members all bring unique talents and views to their music. I enjoyed seeing John and Andy leave DD and make Power Station. I kinda liked Arcadia, not much though. The blend of those two types of music always make DD special, I don't see why they can't recognize that.

The different guitarists and the side projects are all well and good, on paper at least, but when Warren and Nick get together there's no balance, no offset, and no foundation.
The only analogy I can think of is trying to build a bridge out of concrete - no I-beams, no rebar, no expansion joints, just cement. A tiny bridge like that over a little garden stream might work okay, but try building something like that across a major river and it will collapse in no time. It doesn't matter that there are lots of very pretty embossed and molded decorative shapes all over it, it's gonna fail and fail fast.
